Despite its capability to make such high-quality wines, Petit Arvine is grown in tiny amounts in the Valle d'Aosta region of northwestern Italy as well as Switzerland. Due to its thick skins it yields a lovely golden color, while remaining bright, lively, and refreshing. Treves Gianni took over his grandparents' farm in the sub-region of Monjovet in 1997 - producing Fontina cheese, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, and a variety of grains and herbs, with just a small of wine from the local varieties of Petit Arvine and Nebbiolo.
