The Quinta do Romeu estate was founded in 1874 and all current owners are direct descendants of founder Clemente Menéres. The red grapes in this blend are traditional grapes used in red wine production in the Douro. Touriga Nacional gives the final wine bold dark fruit flavors and leather / spice elements, Sousão and Tinta Roriz lend depth of color and acidity
