In 1968 Aldo Vajra - at just 15 years old - embraced the dream to revive a family legacy that had started with a single vineyard in Barolo dating back to the 1880s. Now Aldo and his wife Milena are joined by their children Giuseppe, Francesca, and Isidoro to continue contributing to the world their magnificent, yet unfussy wines. While their Barolos are a thing of beauty, the way they treat Dolcetto is unlike many farmers in the area. The grape is given prime hillside territory to grow, ripen, and thrive - territory that is most often reserved for the region's star grape - Nebbiolo. This is one of our favorite Dolcettos - burting with dark fruit and a satisfying savory quality. Organic
